Horse Riding
The horses are at the very centre at Smens Gårdar. They are our passion and we warmly welcome our guests to share in this joy by booking horse rides during their stay. All levels of riders welcome, from beginner to Grand Prix. We have two lovely ponies and three large horses. You are also welcome to bring your own horse.

Yoga in the Barn
Yoga next to the horses in our very own yoga studio at the Haybarn. We can cater for all types of yoga and levels of experience. Perhaps a morning meditation followed by an invigorating flow class to start the day, or an evening restorative yoga before bed?

Wildlife & Sundowners
The wildlife in Dalarna offers incredible sightings of elk, deer, wild boar, foxes, herons and eagles. We track the movements of the wildlife before your stay and after a hike around all their recent hangouts sundowners are served with a view over fields with the highest likelyhood of spotting elk.

Cross Country Skiing
Gammelgården is only a few hundered meteres away from pristine cross country ski tracks, (Also within a short drive of Hästgården) These tracks offer fantastic skiing away from any crowds, with just the forest and wild animals keeping you company as you ski for miles.

Ice skating on the lake
Ice skating on the lakes is one of our favourite winter activities. Why not combine it with a shoreside apre-skate and we will make sure the moules are cooking as you skate and serve up around the fire and the drinks are ready to be served.

Kayaking
