With the forest and lakes as your neighbour, the cross country ski track around the corner and horses that the hosts drive over to your doorstep, you can hike, ride, ski and skate to your hearts content.
Mark special occasions with bespoke celebrations crafted to your preferences and needs. Celebrate Midsummers under the midnight sun, sit down to a traditional Crayfish feast, enjoy Lucia during the darkest month of the year and why not hike to the top of the surrounding hills for a glimpse of the northern lights or some elk spotting over sun downers around a roaring fire.
Our Christmas guests of course arrive to a fully decorated house with the option for private catering available all year round to ensure you get to kick back and relax during your time away.
Back at the house, a well deserved drink in front of one of the fire places or a long soak in the bath awaits – your days in the outdoors are perfectly coupled with a good dinner before falling asleep in one of our comfy beds.
Gammelgården offers stays for parties of up to 10 adults, with ample space in the drawing rooms for reading, socialising and relaxation. Light all the candles and dine in the dining room or enjoy long evenings in the garden during those wonderful summer months. While most of our guests opt for at least one catered meal, we leave it to your discretion of to decide if you wish to use the fully fitted kitchen for preparation of meals. There is of course the option of arriving to a fully stocked fridge, with a clear focus on local produce and foraged treats.
